Hi all
I have been asked to create a cross section of the interior of a building - only got an hour left to do it, however... Is there a quick and simple way of doing this, ie, by creating a plane for the camera in orthographic view? I am running Max8 and mental ray... Cheers! |

Thanks Jeremy I recall reading about this a long time ago, but i've never had cause to use it up until now. My concern was that there might be problems using this feature with global illumination - and there is a warning in the help file against using clipping planes with mental ray... but it seems to have worked fine in my test render. Thanks for the fast reply |

your welcome. if you ever need to do complex cutaways with slice plane caps there's a program called scalpelmax that is off the charts.
