Default Music

I have been struggling with finding appropiate music for my scenes in the past. I have been leaning towards ambient and new age sounds for the most part but I am not fluent with this type of music. Lets get a list going of where, what, and how do you find it.

If you are like me the most difficult part is deciding on what goes with your scene is the music becuase it has fit the project.

And it has to be available for commercial use.

That doesn't leave much.

Flash kit also has royalty free loops. They have a whole lot of selection.

Maybe this link could be useful (lots of different styles of music can be found here)

http://www.jamendo.com/en/

"On jamendo, the artists distribute their music under Creative Commons licenses. In a nutshell, they allow you to download, remix and share their music freely. It's a "Some rights reserved" agreement, perfectly suited for the new century..."

I occasionally buy magazines such as Computer Music and Future Music, which usually contain discs with free loops and samples. In most of the cases, commercial use is allowed.

I can then assemble them into my own compositions (guitar, synths, loops) to create original music. I currently use Ableton Live and sometimes Apple Garageband (free with my mac), but I have used ACID in the past (they have a very cheap ACID Music Studio version).

I collected several Gigabytes of legal samples over the last few years, which can help in creating new music quickly.
