Default high res problem

Hi there, I need ur help.
The thing is that when i tried to render high resolution image 12000*8000, that time one window pop up, stating the message that "CREATING BITMAP ERROR" I really dont know why it don render this resolution. its rendering upto 11000 pixels.

Please put some lights on this issuue,
I m using max8 and scanline rendering.
My pc configuration is. AMD dual core 38000. Geforce 7600 gtx, 2gb ddr ram.
Plz help me

Do you have the 3gb switch in Windows enabled? Sometimes a restart will fix it too...

im facing same problem too, same system we are using but as oyu go high res the worktime goes higher esp when rendering a 3d model...

thats seriously high resolution .... you really dont have to do it so much but still if you do have to do it .... use split frame rendering into 3 or 4 parts and it will be done

3gb switch: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...ae443ecbf.aspx

Windows will usually only let you use 2gb of ram per application. This will let you use 3gb before it crashes...
