OT, a good Scotch is a good gift, but remember that a lot of Americans don't have the taste for the fuller bodied stuff. Unless you know the guy well enough to know his tastes, go highland, not Islay. Glenlivet is a good option, Macallan is the safest bet (and almost never fails to impress).
