I have found that changing the 'Max.Display Texture Size' from "Unlimited" to 245*256 hugely reduces file sizes. (Found on the document Properties)

Sorry, no help with RAM stuff

Angela but doest that only effect the display of the ls. file?
I could also remove the textures form the file but that doesnt do it:-(

I read few very older post here abouth people having problems with huge ls. files...
One thing that crossed my mind is that I have merged one ls. file two times and others not...so maybe thats whats cousing the problem...but then again this doesnt seem to have effect with reduced quality, small sized ls. files...

It could be a RAM issue. Try to send me two ls files, upload em and I'd see if I can merge em.

Well tried every possible combination and ended up with nothing.
Ls chrashed every time and reports memory error.
I read somewhere that you should at leat have like 2 or 3 times memory then you ls. files is.
I tried removing my memory plates and left just 512 Mb RAM, Then tried to opne ans 430 Mb ls. files.
Ls strugled and didnt sucseeded. It came to around 85 precent and then the HD staretd working like mad (I think due the VR memory)
My VR memory is set to around 3 GB and yes I have empty space on my drive.
I left it for around 15 min to see if It would sucseed but I didnt. But it didnt crash!
Then I tried with another idea of rendering aou tga. file with alpha enabled, then imprten the pictures in Premire and it fit quite nicely.
But then if you look at the picture I have this "BEAUTIFUL" black stich coming egsactly where the two sections connect
This stich isnt there if I merge the geometry and then render the view file. So the geometry if perfectly alinged and there are no gaps what so ever.

Is this maybe due the AA? Because I dont get why this apperas and how to avoid it. But I tried even with AA on 10 an same thing happens every time.

I was able to merg most of the fies expect the P1 merged. I dont know whats up with that one. Everything else i was able to merge. Also I was able to merge the P1 mergem X2 and kurac with no problems but i cant add the PART2 and PART 3 to that.

You need to send me the original UNMERGED version you have of the P1 .ls files.
