The normal pass you see is a 'vray normals' element that we used in fusion too add specular highlights and some bloom in post, we ended up painting out alot of it as it didnt fit that well into our final!
Its a pretty useful element to use but more so for animation as you can use 3d lights in fusion too add extra animated rim lighting etc and bring out extra details if you want.
