Are you sure? If I search Newegg for a Skulltrail board I find the Intel 5400XS which has this in the specs:

Supported CPU
CPU Socket Type Dual LGA 771
CPU Type Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme in LGA771 package, Intel Xeon in LGA771 package
