Hi Jon maybe this reply comes late, but indeed, Max has a superior quality. I work with artlantis S too, and now with version 2, i want to say you that the software has made very good improvements, basically with lightning, this made a very big difference between 4.5 and 1.2 versions, so i think in the future artlantis is going to be a better renderer, i use artlantis because is extremely easy to use, and my clients are very satisfied with the work, not all in this 3d life is just photorealistic images, another think i like artlantis is the fast renderer engine that it has.
