Really nice presentation, love the images . My only comment would be that all the other rooms all have various little nick nacks, picture frames, bowls etc which add to the image except the kitchens which feel a little too empty for me personally. Also maybe on the floor plans just an indication of furniture as per the images.

Craig: Agree with the kitchens. I think next time we will try and add just a little bit of "clutter" just to make it look lived in like the other rooms.

The problem with adding furniture to the floor plans, is it can have an adverse effect and make the rooms look smaller than they are. Most developers we have come across, would rather leave them out of plans like that, unless the rooms are huge open spaces, where you have a bit more to play with..

Thanks for all the comments so far though, really encouraging..

I like the way the "interactivity" works. Very neat.

Also like the reveals of the ensuite bathrooms.

Well done.

Nice stuff. The only drawback of it all is........ the loading times. Try and lower the size of the animation - use the flash importing video tools - you can get away with low vid sizes while still retaining high quality video.

What Flash were you using?

Horhe: Havent a clue what flash version etc.. my webskills dont move much past HTML, long hand, so we leave that to someone else.. But download times are a problem.

The first one we tried with another client, they forced all the animation of all the rooms (this was for a new development of 2 house types) into one file for each house type. This meant when you clicked on the links, it downloaded about 37 Mb's onto your machine.. if you could be bothered to wait that long

Absolutely awesome. Just the PERFECT example of what Id like to try talk some of my client into doing.... hats off!

And agreed with the web side of it. Theres much better practises. Some animations keep re-loading for me! They should be cached.

Thumbs up Re: Website visuals / animations

Hi Andy,

Hows every1? i have seen your animations, they look top top top top. Good stuff. what version of vray are you using , is it easy to use, how would you compare it with mental ray and radiosity? i know that the end result of vray tops the lot but i ve never used it so far. how long does it take for each frame to render?

Regards

Mike
