Default Website visuals / animations

Havent posted for a while, but this has been a busy time..!!

So here is what we have been working on for the last few weeks. Local Developer wanted some images for a new project.. we ended up doing a new website, with floor plans, animations and stills.. so not a bad little job in the end.

All rendered in Viz 2006, with Vray 1.47.. Rendered to be 25 fps, but ended up running it at 20 fps.. so may be a bit jerky.. but client wants slower animation.. client gets it..

Anyway.. C&C's welcome / wanted..!

Please note, I think that the downloads are not too bad, but these are animations as well..

There are some hotspots on each picture that start the sequences, its fairly obvious..

Very good work. I'm very impress with this presentation way. how many frames need between each picture ?

Amazing. your client is right the speed is perfect as it is. not fast, not slow. I haven't seen something like that in a while. very innovative.

On average we tried to keep it down to 60 - 80 frames between each sequence, so each animation has about 120 - 180 frames. Otherwise the download speeds are too long.

As for the style, I cant take too much credit for that "style".. If you look thru here, you will see the original "sony style" website. This sort of thing spawned a few derivatives of this style. Ours is just another, slightly different one.

This is the second of this type we have done, and find that the clients really like it, because it gives a real flavour of the interiors, without a long labourious animation, that takes too long to download.

freaking good

Great job, nice presentation !

Just lack a bit of Motion Blur/DOF to be a little more realistic

Excellent work and presentation. Well done.

It is always a pleasure to see work of this standard.

but would like to ask was the project in the UK?? as the winders in the third option do not conform to Building Regulations or just a problem of using and USA architectural Cad package.

I totally agree with all comments regarding the website and the transitions between the rooms etc. I seem to remember that this is not the first time I have seen you working on this type of idea. Very good concepts.

My crit is for the cg work in general which I think is a little sparse for detail and life but I suppose that is because of budgetry requirements more than anything. I also think that your lighting can come across as being a little cold and drab as if the scene outside is overcast. Being in the UK I suppose that is realistic but it's just not all that inviting to me.

nice job though

BobM: Your right about those winders... Nothing to do with the package, more to do with our sanity while trying to juggle different jobs / work on the house etc...!

mahorela: Agree now we have sat back and looked at it. The sunlight could have been a bit stronger, and I think with just a bit of colour in it, try to throw some yellows / orange into the room a bit. The details were left out, as it can sometimes become too personal.

Some of the furntiture may not have been my choice, but thats what the client wanted. Its a tricky mix to make the space look.. well spacey.. but not too bland. I think the kitchens would have looked nice with some other bits and pieces in.. I suppose the problem with that is you cant just chuck a load of stuff into these spaces, or thats what it looks like.. like you have just thrown items into rooms.. We never seem to have enough time with these things..

This is the second one of this style that we have done, and I must say, our clients love it. Its just a case of fine tuning the quality of the images, with the length of the animation, with the capabilities of the machines we are working on..!

Great stuff, Andy! I like the style of it, it's a simple way to get interactivity without really being interactive! Great!
