Default HELP - What causes this?

I'm having a consistant problem that I hope someone can help me with. When I render an image using the "view set-up" camera I get all these black lines showing up and degradation in some of the heavier models. (image 1)

If I use "view extents" or any angle using the "obit" view (image 2) I don't get them. It is a real pain in the ass because I can't get a natural viewing angle for my shots.

This issue is a famous bug with the software. And there hasn't been an upgrade in a decade.

Wow, really I sometimes think about Lightscape, I haven´t seen such quality since I left it.
But I have to say the workflow sucks.

I think Autodesk tried to kid us that Max/Viz was the upgrade.

There used to be a set of thumbnailed FAQ's which included this same issue. Jeff has the link to them but the kind people at Autodesk seem to have removed the pages.

your model is away from the Origin.move it to the origin, the coordinates are X=0, Y=0,then export.
