hi guys,
i've downloaded the win xp pro 64 trial frm the microsoft web, and burned it to an empty cd. it's an iso image file so how do i install on my macpro? i had bootcamp installed earlier and win xp pro 32 running when i load in the cd, it did not detect and run...only detect the genuine full version of win xp pro 32...so i should use a full version cd of xp pro 64? |

Just use XP32, then when XP64 is supported, if you have over 4GB RAM, you can switch to that. Or Google for x64 and Bootcamp - there are people who have hacked together ways of running it, but YMMV.
I'd stay even further away from Vista64 than I would from Vista32, and I stay very far away from Vista32. Neither is ready for prime time (I've already posted plenty on that) but 64's driver support is even more lacking than 32. |
