Hello everyone

OK, first post. New in the forum, but I've been a reader of CGarchitect for some years.

I live in dubai and am relatively new here (around 1 year). I work in education sector as a design instructor. Well, not exactly the perfect business to be in, here in the Wild West Dubai

At the moment, I am examining the feasibility of running an architectural visualization firm in Dubai with heavy reliance on outsourcing the jobs offshore.

I'd say I have a good grasp of the technology and the skills required, from medelling to pp; I used to work as a visualiser, and later as the art director and, even form time to time, as a salesman for an architectural visualization firm in New Zealand. So I know the workflow quite well.

I would very much appreciate any information regarding this business in Dubai. Does anyone have any similar experience?

u r here for 1 year and u dont have any info regarding archviz in Dubai.? u see it every where, newspaper,. banners... etc etc.. lots of renders... but its sad to say most works r done from outside UAE...

How is arch-vis handled in the UAE when it is done there? Is it mostly by vis companies or people working within architectural /engineering offices? I have an architect client who was asking me about that, as he's thinking of opening an office there.

lots of works happening around here.. and there r only few good vis company's
here.. so most of projects r done outside UAE,, mostly in London and SA.. and ya sure in US too.. couse the main arch/eng team is US based or UK based.. they do there design work with all 3d and stuffs from there and present it here,,, and then hand it over to some consultants and contractors over here,,,

this is wht happening on major projects.. ($$$ hiiii )

only few arch/eng offices based here have there own team to do viz . most of others depend on freelancers.. also there r few studios and add agencies they took projects and outsource it..

if u can build up a team of talented 3dartists with a good team leader, then u dont need to look back.. the main issue here is to find such talents,, dont worry about projects, there r lot of projects happening here...
if its for outsourcing , already lots of guys r here doing that.. hiiiii... but finaly its all up to ur golden words u talk with clients.. (mostly local arabs) hiiii
