Randy
Lofting seem to work fine and seem to be faster but sweep is really slow and it doesnt seem to wanna sweep two 2 profiles anymore. i can only sweep with one profile. infact i think my last sweep froze the program. this is on e6600 with 7950 and 2gb ram. Ill turn hardware acceleration off and see what happens, but the program recongnised my geforce as supported.... Dunno. Might stick to 2007 for the time being. Im surprised whoever sent you the package didnt send it via registered post or fedex. Oh yeh. the distance light icon is just grey, i cant access it. no idea whats happened there. |

Another observation....
Creating a tapered sweep along a helix seems to take more than a minute and it utilises more than 500mb of ram. Only one CPU core seem to be used for it. |

Yeh, google some reviews. Most are not very impressed. To be honest there isnt alot of new features to rave about. Some good workflow improvements for plotting if you use 'viewport', im guessing most viz people just import it into CS2 and do allt he finishing work there.
It now supports Direct 3d, which means cheap game cards will work with it. In reality thi smeans a few hardware rendering features that i havent noticed as having any real effect on performance or visual difference. Get it if you use vista but otherwise i dont think it would be worth the money. still a good upgrade if you dont have 2007. the 3d features in acad 2007+ are pretty good. |
