well, how would you approach an interior in modo. walls etc. I tried going about it like when I use lightwave but I just get stumped. seems I'm taking all the long ways. I can manage but I am lacking in speed. I would like to explore other paople's ways of doing stuff, just gives me more ways of doing one thing. cheers

If you're asking about modeling approach to interior stuff with Modo then i would simply head straight on and model the stuff the way the look in real life. If it's to scale then i model them at scale either by using measurements or by reference photos eyeing out details etc.

If you lack in speed when you model then that's something you can take care of yourself, speed is something you will gain with time and practice. There are no real tricks to that, well one maybe.. learn the basic keyboard shortcuts to speedup your work and customize them if necessary. Also some operations can you script or use premade scripts for, that also bumps up your speed a bit more.

Now i'm not sure how new you are to Modo or if you have used it for a long time but i assume you're quite new to Modo, then you should start out modeling simpler objects at first. Don't try to take on too large detailed and complex models at first and really learn to visualize a object in your head before you get started on the modeling so you got a clear view onf it and you know what you're gonna do.

If you could also post an example or two showing your best models you built with Modo then i can see how well you're doing with it and if necessary point out to any specific stuff you could improve on.
