Default Aaron Coon - STORY

This is my story for the House B model.

Dear Aaron Coon,

Our development company, Tuscan Custom Dream Dwellings, Inc., has outdone itself again. We've worked with our architects and our fine craftsman to come up with another stunningly beautiful villa in Beverly Hills. The clientele for this house will most likely be a famous Hollywood celebrity. We're trying to market this exquisite piece of architecture in a way that would appeal to our potential buyers.

Currently, the majestic house is nestled among several other mansions in close proximity. Additionally, the house is nearly complete but the pool and terrace are still under construction. We would like you to recreate the estate digitally for a still rendering and a fly-through showing the house in its full glory. Our marketing effort has a small twist. Some may call it a gimmick but we call it a “selling a dream”. We would like you to render the house as if it's set in a true Tuscan setting. The neighboring modern house is a mere ten feet from the property. Because it would show up as a glistening white monstrosity in the views of the pool and tower, please use your creative license to remove it. Here at Tuscan Custom Dream Dwellings, Inc., we detest any notion of moving forward with architecture. We believe the true romance in architecture can only be found by recreating the masterpieces of yester-century.

In order to appeal to our clients, the rendering should be very dramatic. We would like the finished piece to look like it was cut from a cinematic masterpiece. The fly-through animation and still rendering should show the terrace and pool as an inviting place of serenity and relaxation. We challenge you to recreate our masterpiece into a virtual 200 year old Tuscan villa set in the hills of Italy. We are selling a dream. Please do your best to help us sell that dream.

Sincerely,
Bill Dozer, President
Tuscan Custom Dream Dwellings, Inc.

Yes it is. Frankly, after seeing all 173 entries, I was suprised that I was chosen. I really think I'm the underdog in this competition. That's a good thing though because it's going to push me that much more. I expect to learn a lot over the next 4 months.

Actually when I looked through the entries before the 25 were chosen (mods don't have any special involvement in this) yours was one of my "yes, definitely" guesses. That new urbanism scene is well done but not that interesting to me, but the loft and the atrium are really spectacular. Now go kick some ass.

I can't wait to see this competition unfold. If your story is any indication, it will be quite a show. Great images btw.
