I 'd go with the sun position on the second image, and hey, your caustics plan could pop out a lot better with that lighting. keep it coming

Arron

I prefer the second sun position It brings a lot of interest in the floor and seating in the foreground.
the view needs something in the lower left by I think the hot tub is a bit distracting it stops my eye moving into the picture.
Perhaps it is the shape, and the sun light hitting the rim... I would like to see the viewer being drawn into the image a bit more....

But it is just my opinion, sun position is great.

Hello Arron!

If you'll follow this atmosphere as is on picture 2 it would be very fresh morning It's very brave idea to do caustics in vizualization. I love it! In my opinion it will be hard to generate caustics with sun in that direct (secound picture) I think that sun schould be behind back a little bit. But i like it (picture No. 2) anyway!

waiting for more

I think both lights of two images are ok. If you chose the second image, adding some lights inside would help to get a better effet.
Waiting for your further image!

Aaron...there is something distracting about the hot tub on left hand side. I feel the shape is not going with rest of the forms. Or it might just be its position, maybe shift it a little right and towards the camera? I agree with everyone on the second sun position...it is looking great. What are your plans for the empty space on right side of image?

I am liking both of the sun positions, however if I think number 2 would work the best for the pool caustics.

As far as the tub goes, I think you're right. I need to resolve this.

Just to clear the air, I never said I would be doing caustics for certain. I sure would like to try if it works out.

Hi Aaron,

I personally like the first sun location. The second option is casting shadows on your main facade so it is hiding from the viewer some of the nice details in the model. Also, I agree about the hot tub feeling out of place in the composition. Try showing more of it so that it is formerly in the foreground. I am looking forward to see how this wip develops.
