Default Adding and modifying geometry

I just want to confirm that it is okay to add and/or modify geometry to the models provided for the competition.

Thanks,
Ernesto

Jeff,

It would be great if you could clarify this as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Ernesto

You can make small modifications to the models. You can stretch, replace small areas of the models etc to accomodate your story, but the changes must not affect the overall model significantly.

The competition is about telling the story so we want to ensure everyone is using the same core model. Just ensure you do not significantly alter the model and ensure that the mode is the core focus of the image.

I hope this is clear.

Ok but I obviously need to add some elements to the scene right?
For example if I just wanted to add more buildings?

And for the vegetation? I can add a lot of plants?

To stretch on this relentless topic:

All the models provided seems to be just exterior shells, made up of one sided polygons so that there are no interiors. Are we limited to only exterior scenes or do we have the option of going in? In which case, I assume we will have the liberty to make up unknowns?

Please discuss.

For both challenges the exterior of the model must be the main focus, so modeling the interior as the main focus of the rendering is not allowed. In other words for challenge 1 you can only model the interior for the purposes of supporting what you might see through the windows. For the animation if you want to model the interior and use that as part of the animation sequence I will allow it, however it must be a small part of the overall film. The point is that everyone should be using the same model and the seperation is between how you can work with the model to tell your story.
