The second image looks very well composited! I like the contrast of colors right now even though its in a conceptual stage. It will be interesting to see it develop. Great start...keep it coming!

First of all thank you for your comments; they are much appreciated. I have been playing around with it since Friday so rest assured that I didn't get the "idea" from another WIP. These are conceptual sketches. In any case, keep in mind that many of us will have similar camera views since we are sharing the same models. I don't think there's any avoiding that ...

I think you should consider the second view with the railing in the foreground partially visible under a block of ice as if the viewer is standing on the ice. Right now, the second view looks like the viewer is floating in the air. My preference overall is for the portrait format.

Hello Ernesto,

This image has a great feel and sense of dramatic intrigue. The conceptual nature is a fine work with an interesting POV and environment.

Thanks for your comments Tyrone.

Here is a quick sketch I did of a different approach I am contemplating at the moment. I will post a more finished conceptual rendering later on today.

Earnesto...the sketch is very beautiful and scenic. But I feel that in context of AVC the main structure is not in enough focus in this composition. There will be a lot going on with the valley and snow...maybe zoom into towards the building a bit...?

Thanks for your comments Neha. I feel the same way about this composition. However, I am not aware of any rule that says that we need use no less than 50% of our composition for the building itself. That is why I wanted to explore something like this. Maybe I should ask this question in the FAQ. It would great if the rest of the competitors could comment on this.
