Default Brian Clark - WIP

Here is a preview for the still and where it stands now. I have changed the camera, and am happy with it now. Let me know what you think. I am still messing with lighting and I will be using several passes that will be composited for the shot. I would still like to add plankton particles, and possibly some slight caustic look, but it is deep water so I'm not sure yet. I am going to start texturing now. Any thoughts suggestions would be much appreciated.

interesting idea. i think the scale of the building is vague right now, it feels dollhouse like. the scale of your scene objects, and the depth of field blurring is causing this.

...maybe this is what you are going for, i haven't kept up on the storyline threads.

hmm, I have heard this same comment already and have tried to add depth and scale with entourage, and blur, but I will see if I can resolve this. I am not totally going for absolute realism here, my story is based on a myth. However a dollhouse looking building is not my intention.

Brian, there are some scaling issues here, hence the dollhouse feeling. The marine weeds you have added are way too huge in scale as compared to the castle, I think it will look fine if you scale them down and add more marine life forms in there. The lighting and underwater mood is looking great! I think some corals would add a great touch to your image.

The viewpoint that is in the water is very interesting, I like very much.I feel the camera angle of now still need to be adjust again, the fortress there will be the plant and live on the type in the water in the top. There will be fish to wear the shuttle between each post. The building there will be parts of breakages.

maybe showing the team of the explorers or some of the deep sea divers on the foreground could help with the scale issue. and i also agree with neha on the weeds, looks too big. other than that, you're doin great.

the grain of the sand, and the waves in the sand are contributors to the scale problem.

...the close weeds do not have enough visual separate of contrast compared to the rest of the image. at least that is a gut reaction i am having. making the foreground darker i think would help push your eye into the image, and allow your brain to separate the foreground as being close, and the building as being distant. when they are that close in tonal value, i think your mind interprets them as being close in physical space.

The suggestions above are all really great. Another thing you could do is to show parts of the castle in the background a lot darker and less defined. The front corner of the castle could have more light on it and be more defined. By creating a difference in the lighting and shadows, you could achieve the illusion that the building has depth. This is what I mean - http://www.diveclub.org/gallery_phot...-shipwreck.jpg

Basically, I think your building is too evenly lit.

hello Brian,
Actually, the camera is good, but the scale of the background and forground don't seem to be on good scale , I mean, it looks like in an aquarium .....
