I think the last 2 are very nice.
the 2 firsts are blurry. The first one seem to be done with a bad FG pass and its look flat. Do you use AO? The second have too much blur in it. it a good work, keep it up |

All look OK, but I'm wondering about your chrome material. Assuming it's a mentalRay DGS material, the specular channel could be reduced to about 0.9 and that should reduce the white-outs (see 2nd shot stool legs). Also, another way to control it (if you're using G.I.) would be to create a dgs_material_photon (under photnic materials in hypershade) and connect it to the dgs shading network (use "default" connection). That should make your photons react properly to the dgs. The whole benefit is that you now have control over the material's contribution to the lighting solve in both raytracing and photonic illumination. It will also provide correct caustic effects (if you use them).
Another consideration on the DGS, is that the camera's env. colour will affect the DGS, so if your DGS is leaning too far towards white or black, you can set your env. colour to a more middled grey. HTH, Shane |

Hi, my name is Shamaz. I am in Dubai right now, trying to get into interiors. Lets see how it shapes up.
Must admit that your works are amazing. The only fault I have found is some of the objects looks like its floating. I guess giving a little more weightage to occlusion would have helped. Having said that, I am not a professional myself. Would love to know the settings of your .ies photometric lights. The intensity, the factor et al. And also your basic light arrangements. Most of my interiors doesnt look so bright. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and regards, Shamaz |
