hi all
is there a script called prerender or postrender which hides everything which is not seen from camera ....... This is of great help it would reduce loading time, transforming vertices, LC and IR calculations please enlighten me. |

yes that can always be done in a single camera still image rendering.
but in an animation sequence where the camera is moving !!!!!!!!!!!! unnecessary objects if they are not hidden from camera increase rendering time along with calculation time..... |

dont forget that objects out of the cameras view often have effects on the scene, even if not directly seen, such as shadows, lighting and reflections.

check out scriptspot, they have something like that around.. it basically draws an invisible box around the camera and only renders the objects intersecting that box.. I dont know what its called though..
And like mondayfan says, strange stuff can occur when rendering that way. hope you dont have any reflections.. |
