Microstation XM and VIZ 2008 File Link Manager.

My workflow is to draw in Microstation XM (its what I know...) then render in VIZ by exporting the microstation file to DWG, then using the File link manager to link the file to VIZ. Then I can render and animate in VIZ. And update the file in Microstation.

I recently upgraded to VIZ 2008. And when I reload the scene the material assignments are gone. With VIZ 4 everything worked fine. Even though the DWG file was rewritten by Microstation as I exported to DWG. With Viz 2008 the materials assignments all disappear.

If I work in Microstations DWG workmode the file link DOES work. But its very limiting because IMHO the Microstation DGN format is much better.

Anyone have a similar workflow, or notice this problem???
