SHORT TITLE FOR SUGGESTION/BUG/ENHANCEMENT REQUEST ---------------------------------------------------------------- Procedural Textures that do not tile --------------------------------------------------------------- DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF YOUR REQUEST --------------------------------------------------------------- Most procedural textures in max actually tile which mean you get repetitive patterns when you use them, particularly when the texture is quite a small or your camera is zoomed out. This defeats the purpose of using procedurals as opposed to a tileable bitmap. --------------------------------------------------------------- WHY THIS REQUEST IS IMPORTANT TO YOU --------------------------------------------------------------- Procedurals are great for natural, large scale materials. Noise is used often in projects, but unfortunately these prodecural materials are inadequate because they are visibly tiled and you have to create blends and mixes to hide it which is not always a viable solution. |

Can't say I've noticed procedurals tiling - which ones do this? The only one I can think of is the Tiles map which is limited to 100x100 tiles and repeats after that but things like wood, marble and noise don't tile AFAIK.
