After using Max to create glass material for a long time, and now I am exploring the glass material in VRay. I found Vray glass material makes more sense. It is more intuitive. For example, we can set color in Diffuse map, we can use different color( majority is in Saturation?) to assign the reflection and refraction parameter.
On the contrary, the Max won't allow we to assign the color in diffuse map if we want the reflection. Instead, we should use filter map to assign the glass color. I bet only few people would know this trick. I hadn't try to put glass material into a real building yet. I wonder if the Vray glass material really beat Max Glass material in terms of relection quality and also easiler to configure? Any of your input is appreciated. Thanks, |
