Hello.
I had a problem made a water material. Does anybody know how to make a good setting for water material in vray? What is fallof used for?? Please help me..thank you |

Falloff is a little tricky to explain. I usually use it in the opacity or reflection map. You can find the description of falloff in the instruction manual. |

Fall off has to do tith the angle though whitch the camera is viewing the material. if you apply fall of to a table for example, the more you look at the table top horizontally, the more the reflection will be visible. same goes for transparency

I generally make my water material almost completely clear (as water usually is) with a small bump map, and a falloff for reflections. I then focus most of my time on making the bottom of the pool, fountain or whatever look very realistic.
