We are a reseller in Malaysia and we have 10 units of NEW unsold Lightscape 3.1 We are somewhat disappointed that Lightscape is now discontinued. Does anyone know how to register them? Would anyone be interested to purchase them?
Kindly advise. |

Thank you for your reply. We originally purchased it for US$345 per copy and we would be pleased if we sell it at 50% discount excluding delivery charges. Would this be reasonable? Please advise. :angecool:

Hi,
Actually that is reasonable even at $345 although there is the question of how to obtain authorization numbers for those specially if the product has been discontinued. I do not know if Discreet are willing to issue licenses to a discontinued product. I think this is an issue your company should take up with Discreet prior to doing any selling. Having said that, LVS is well worth more than the sticker price its was originally sold on with the exception of those who bought em for 10K or later 3.5K when it was new

would you really want to buy 3.1 when you could get 3.2? Both are discontinued but why buy a MORE outdated product? If you had to buy it I'd say $20 is a fair price....

I'm not sure if your reply on the price is intentional but I think this does not leave a good "taste", considering the reply is from Arnold. You might want to go and offer such prices to OTHER outdated items in the market and hear them reply to you directly. :ngelaugh: No offence, but on the average, most people understands the value of products, the economy of scale, their professional services values and the professional tools they use and paid for. :arrassed:

Dear Alfonso,
Perhaps if you refer to this link http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet...linkID=2377696 it supposedly allows you to update to version 3.2 Our issue is to obtain the Authorisation Code and I believe we might have the answer from Jennifer Barr. Can you help, Jennifer? Best Regards, Arthur Gan |

As I recall 3.1 was the last pre Autodesk version, 3.2 was to make it's look and menues/icons conform to Autodesks and not much else. I have a friend that has 3.1 and is pretty happy with it.
I bought mine on ebay, well tech not ebay, there was an auction for one on ebay that I bid on and in the end lost at the last moment. I figured I would wait for another, but I got email from the seller saying that they actually had two and were going to put it up on ebay but if I wanted they would accept the last bid that I made. All papers including registration manuals etc 3.2. So I bought it and have been pretty happy with it. I paid $110US so in the end I paid around $180CDN after exchange/shipping etc. Larry Zasitko |
