Merge current render settings from a .max file

It would be nice if the preset loader for render settings could be pointed at a .max file and it would load the current render settings for that file into your current session.

WHY THIS REQUEST IS IMPORTANT TO YOU

At times when working in multiple scene files for one project I find it necessary to grab the render settings out of a another file that I'm not currently in. This requires saving my work, opening the other file, saving out a render preset, re-opening the previous file, and loading the preset. It would be great if you could just grab the settings from within the first file. The other way to do it would be to keep your current file open, and load another instance of max to open the other file and save out the preset.... but that still requires just as many steps as before.
