Hi,
I`m working in a VRML project with Lightscape. After some tests and the help of some people of this forum with their advise, I´ve been having no problem creating it. I`m using mesh to texture and the result is very good (the only problem is that I`ve to generate one texture per surface.....and it takes some time...). Then when all textures are done I save the file as VRML. The problem I have is with one tipe of surface. "Glass". I want them to be transparent, but I can´t edit them because the vrml file expoted by lighstape don´t have this option. I tryied exporting the vrml file with LS with the "window" layer off. Then with Archicad I exported only the layer "window" as vrml. (I use Archicad because the model was built with this software and it allow transparency editing). Well, now that I have 2 vrml files (exported with the same camera position), I paste one and copy into the other. I can see all the surfaces, but they have different camera positions, and if I change them to have the same, objects will be always separated. My question is....Can I add "transparency option" in the text editor to the LS vrml file? I don`t want to have to vrml files created with different programs and then joint them....because I don´t know how to control the cameras.... ThanX Gonzalo Abásolo Chile. |

yes you can..
http://www.cgtechniques.com/~upload/chris/CGA/ it's somehow tricky, because if you want to use vrml97 you first have to convert it and then you have to find the right material for the faces..
