Question #1
Is there a syntax I can use to allow lightScape to run an animation of my model via window command prompt. like I do for my radiosity processing and image processing instead of opening lightscape and running it from there.

Question #2
Does anybody know how I can add music to a Divix formatted animation?

Sure, its very easy. You can use either lsrender.exe to render animation from an lp file in OpenGL (extremely fast--great to preview camera moves). To raytrace from an ls file you still use lsray.exe, but where you would specify a view file (.vw) you instead put in -af animation.la (whatever the name of your animation file). You set all other parameters as usual for the command line.

I usually write the commands into a batch file so I can save and adjust my commands, also useful to render a series of camera moves one after the other while you sip cool drinks by the pool.

Check the manual or the help file for the full syntax.

Another option is to install LSnet, even if you only have one CPU. It puts a front-end on the command-line utilities, making them easier to use but still taking advantage of the speed of not loading the UI.

Adobe Premiere, or any other good animation authoring app. Premiere treats audio tracks like video tracks, they just lay on the timeline so you can see what you are doing.
