anyone have a good script or heard of a good script for manipulating the number assignments on multi/sub-object materials, and the corresponding objects in an editable poly?
...i have several cars that are collapsed to editable poly's with multi/sub-object materials. unfortunately the corresponding elements of the cars do not match on the numbering system from object to object. meaning, if the tires are in the number 6 slot of the matial on the first car, they might be in the number 10 slot on the next car. i want to unify the materials as much as possible, but doing it by hand will prove to be tedious.

I dont think that would be difficult to make, but i'm shot for 'free' time for the week.. I sort of picture it as a material ID 'swap' same as if you drag/drop materials.. could be as easy as two number entry slots and a 'swap' button.. I dont know offhand how to do the material swap itself though, so you may end up doing it as a two step thing.
