strange colouring

I have a strange colour cast in some renders, ie I just did one space and it has a real red cast to it, though there is very little red in the scene. I have been using Lightscape for a couple of years and have had this happen the odd time and find if I start over it works right. I have several files now that have these colour casts and no amount of fiddling seems to fix them. If I take the model and move things around a bit it works right.

Any ideas?
