the textured model for the terrain i have, but not the textured version of the tower. I have all the textures for the tower, but when importing/merging/opening the tower models i only get a matt colored model?

is this right?
yes, the textured were not applied.

Use the 3ds file. The name is different, but in the tower folder

It should show the context somehow yes. That's why we provided a model of the tower and terrain. You should know from the image that this interpretive center is for the Tower of Hercules and not just a random rendering of a building.
Of course. Bearing that in mind is it enough to include the Tower of Hercules in the shot and not the water/cliffs? Is it ok to produce the view more from an inland shot rather than from the ocean?

Thanks

You could, but given this is an ancient lighthouse, I think it would be better to show the water as well.

Hi Jeff,
I'm not entirely sure that I've got the scale right on the tower model I've brought in - could you let me know the rough height of the tower and the total width of the terrain map? Something's wrong somewhere and I can't put my finger on what!

Hi Derek,

I did a bit of research on the tower and from what I understand it is 59 meters high.

Cheers. I found something myself that said similar, but it also suggested the base is 20m wide, whereas it's roughly 12m in the model!!

I ended up measuring roughly off google earth and think I've got it sorted now!
