Default See the scores...

Hi Jeff,
is there any possibility to see the competitors gained scores before the next week? I mean it would be great to see the results day to day.

Thanks,

George

No we won't be publishing any scores this year until the end of the competition.

Just out of interest, is UNESCO or anyone else planning a Visitor's Centre for the site, or is the idea entirely fictional? I'm amazed there's nothing there already!

To my knowledge there is nothing there or planned yet according to my contact.

Hi Jeff, I assume i'm jumping the gun here but is it possible to see the scores of the qualification round, (or only the non-qualifiers if posting all scores could somehow affect the ongoing competitors)?

The overall field was good, a broad range of interpretive ideas and a great way to uncover new talent out there, but was anyone disqualified for not following rules? -ie; non-architectural/shape study (As a non-qualifier, I'm a bit worried because i used bump-mapping on an object... either that or my score just sucked)

Furthermore, were any of the submitted images for qualification based on the shapes scrutinized? i.e: were any artists asked for their scene file to prove legitimacy? Not having a rigorous system to check can open this up for abuse next year. Just an idea.

Do we have to retain the existing landscaping? Or can we carve the place up as much as we need?!

You have some flexibility here, but bear in mind it's solid rock, so you would not be able to completely change the landscape on the peninsula.

No scores will be released until the end of the comeptition. I don't want people's placement in the qualification to affect their motivation in the rest of the competition, as has happened in the past years.

There were no disqualifications. We did not ask for 3d models, but I reviewed all of the models and determined if it was possible for the image to be created with the shapes provided.
