so well here we go again... more developments...i've figured out the entrance area, main visitors building, cascading promenade, structure and podium eratics.
Looking nice, looking nice Make sure the slope isnt to great to slide visitors off

I'm happy with the placement of the buildings, structures and land use, and although it is rather huge, the grandness is essential for the concept i'm after!
Well I figure it has to be bigger than smaller. Whats the point of designing a concept the size of a hot dog stand?

now i'm really rolling my sleeves up and digging into design detail.. still too early to figure out exact angle to be used, as i'm having fun experimenting with different views
Good luck then. Ive got my eye on what this will evolve to.

Cool concept and structure Amer. I am also a fan of Calatrava's work so I really appreciate your effort. I am looking forward to seeing your final entry.

very cool, I think you can have very strong composites using leading lines, can't wait for the updates!

Something about this concerned me when I first looked at it, and now I see what it is - the way you've got it, the tube structure won't support the cantilever. There are two problems - first, any members connecting the two would be under a very large compressive force which would mean they'd need to be thick, which I don't think is the aesthetic you're looking for. Second, the start of the cantilever, where the moment is highest, is where the two pieces are closest together in section and therefore weakest.

For the purposes of the competition I wouldn't even think about it, except that you're doing a Calatrava like project and he's all about real engineering.

Looks really sleek, i dont know about the 'scale. In the shot you've shown looking down where you can see the stairs it seems they are about 1-2 meters high.
