Default Any intrerest in a Reatime conference?

Any interest in a "RealTime applications used in Architecture" conference? Maybe sometime late summer? ....in Dallas?

is There any way To do a 'webcast'? 1st?

This would dramatically cut down cost on Transportation and etc
and hopefully Then more people could get involved with This great idea

maybe The interest would grow enough To sustain its own conference
or somehow add This To The yearly CGA get Togethers where There is

a LOT of participation and interest in all-Things CG

just some ideas

Good idea, even though it will preclude having any actual RT demonstrations, but I'll look at the various web distributed meeting applications and see what is involved (costs. bandwidth, etc...) in having hundreds of people participate ....

actually Mr Camper do both a webcast for Those who cant attend
AND do a LIVE demonstration for Those who can make it To The Event

This way people can benefit at The presentation site
and Those who cant show up in person can still benefit

by watching (most of) The online presentation

just an Idea

some people might miss out on The RT
but maybe They will have enough interest

To show up The next Time

and Those who do show up can spread The word
and get more people To attend The next RT event

I would be interested and I can probably get a few DFW contacts to show up as well...

...who did you say will provide the catering?

sorry to kill the webcast idea, but if the goal is to have an actual conference that people can go to, sponsors attend, and people speak, the webcast cant happen. it will kill attendance. its the same reason that the dmvc will never be broadcast. it's hard enough for a conference to break even...very very few ever do...it would be impossible i think with a webcast.

i cant even imagine how hard it would be to organize a profitable conference for something as niche as RT. seriously, it's incredibly hard to pull off a dmvc and that's niche enough but way less niche than RT.

Well, so far this would be a day long user special interest group meeting with a few presenters and a handfull of sponsors.... I have a few sponsors interested to pick up the facility/food/goodies tab and I have already had a few contacts for people that would like to present.... so we'll see what happens from here.

If you have some ideas for any and all subjects centric to RT and architecture, let me know....either here or on the forums at www.rtranger.com
