Ok, so i'm just reserving my spot here.. been a long week at work.
So my project is going to be in the form of a short interview / documentary by CNN's 60 seconds (tick tock tick tock tick tock...) Tasks i hope to achieve.. 1- composite my design to the videos provided about the site 2- take green screen shorts of myself explaining my design and its different aspires and aspects. and composite my self within the design, as if it was real life footage. 3- produce an animated tour of the interiors of my centre. 4- produce, animate and composite a lively outdoor event at the site showing my lighting part of the design. 5- edit everything in a very catchy way, and going for the 60-90 sec time limit..hopefully 60 flat! 5- do all this in the next 18 days! I'm aiming for photoreal rendering throughout, and my theme (timing of day) for the animation is going to be from dusk till dawn. All scenes would eventually be a composite of both 3D and video elements. I'm really going for the fun side of things here, and hope something different comes out of this! a.

thats a mental amount of work to do in 18 days. If your not careful it could look very cheesy. I'd also be weary in saying that its going to be photo real as i've seen nothing but Maxwell still shots that must have taken days to render that come close.
I like the ideas but i think that your taking on a large amount of work. Good Luck! |

GO for it, but adding to Christiann's comment I'd be careful to make sure you show consistency in quality between your final image submission and the animation. Time (and budget in the real world) tend to restrict your options.

Wow Amir - if you pull that off it sounds fantastic. And a refreshing break from the norm of usual arch viz walkthroughs.
You'll have to make sure you create something that you can still use if time catches up with you though - but I guess if you make sure that the actual rendered footage of the building is completed first, then it won't matter so much if there isn't time to film the rest. Can't wait to see it! |
