here is some popcorn / icing /cotton candy..... I could not get the evermotion tut to work ...... this is a particle system with the blobmesh .... It doesn't seem right 40000 particles ..... seems inefficient and tedious. It might work with a mix of the script & particle ...

thx Dave,
The file is at home ..... but I will send you a couple questions later today when I get back to it. From what I can gather .... I think I need a better understanding of blob meshes and using those as particles. I like what I got, it just needs some work ....

I've been "out-of-order" few weeks due to slipped disk on my lower spine. If you still have trouble, I'll do a screencam video for you (later tonight or tomorrow).

Timo,
That would be great. I got the tut to work but adjustments make the computer crash + it seems like a really fussy work flow, as in kinda sucks. Little room 4 error. so I got these results ...... but the adjustments to make it better crashed my comp. The house pic is my own work flow ..... that I think works better ..... but the particles kinda suck. (popcorn Styrofoam)

Hi there,
I'll do that screencam for you, but it might not come tonight. I forgot that I had planned movie night with my friends - so it'll be around midnight that I get back home. So, if you don't hear from me tonight - the video will be here tomorrow morning. Rgds, Timo EDIT: Ps. Which version of max you're using ? |

Had to make couple posts in order to post links ( 10 posts minimum ). Ok, didn't have time to create a screencam, but I'll create that when I have more than 15 minutes to spare.
Here's a max2009 file and JPG of the resulting render. Open particle view and read the note called "READ ME" on the particle flow. MAX2009 FILE (300kb) CLICK ME FOR RENDERED IMAGE Rgds, Timo Last edited by Tim_Tam; July 31st, 2008 at 01:18 PM. |
