Default Draw Leaders To Be Straight

its hard to draw leaders straight like in ortho mode also they will not snap or trim or extend to anything ... guess I am used to the luxury of ADT

in drafting view to do detail dwgs...

how do you get leaders to align with anything...

Do you mean the leaders attached to text? if so these should always snap to horiz and vert. and your text will align with other text which will then make your leaders align but you cant use the align tool on leaders.

sorry, but i don't see this happening..

when i pick the start place for the leader (the arrow point) the leader will not go into an ortho mode even with the shift down and it will not go perpendiculat to a line.

right now i just eyeball the thing but this is sorta sloppy..

do you have angular snaps turned on

settings - snaps - tick the box for angular snap and add/delete set angles as required (works like the polar settings in Autocad) To add angles use a colon ;

There is always more than one way to do things. Also if you draw them first you can use the grips to straighten them up after and then they will snap.
