Default gift for referral

a local architect has referred me to two clients and both have said they will continue to need services going forward. i'm just starting out and was thinking of a gift or something to show appreciation. any ideas or examples of you have received or given?

thanks

Whiskey is a traditional business gift. I think anything is more than whats expected. A book voucher is always nice. You can never have enough books.
