Hi,
I tried another settings like one of evermotion stills, I liked it very much, and I was very curious to see my model in the same settings and the same camera view, tell me your openion about that..forgive me about some missed textures like tree bark and the street..I think starting looking at these great samples is a good way to make some improvement, right?? http://3dshore.com/stills/another-settings.jpg |

Much better camera angle...really makes a difference! I would raise it up just a tad though...try eye level first (5'8" - 6'-0")...also, that blue background is VERY distracting...I would change that immediately.

The mid-tones are good but the shadows are too dark, loosing detail. I also find the vignette too strong.
I like the richness, just pull it back a tad. Be careful using one lot of settings for all your scenes, especially evermotion ones. They are instantly recognisable and your work will end up looking just like everyone elses. Use this a starting point, then make it your own jhv |

and about your comment Justin, ofcourse you are right, and I'm not intend at all to make evermotion settings my standard settings..it's just a trial as I said, and as you said it can be a starting point to gain more experience and knowledge.. |

I like this one. Is it just me, though, or do you guys think the texture/painting on the house could be a bit better? I feel like it was made for a smaller house, and what would be the brush strokes are too big. As a result, there are too large of swathes of lighter/darker colors that I don't think usually happen on real houses.
But this is really nitpicky. I think it's a nice render and I look forward to the final product with all the textures. (My first post here, btw! I can't believe I didn't find this site earlier...) |

Wow, great improvement. Nice details on building, nice lightning effect and the camera angle is much more interresting than some of your earlier works, congrats.
You should lower the vignetting, are you using the VrayPhysicalCam Vignetting option(you should not go over 1 in most of the cases). The background is too much saturated. Try the same but less agressive. Except for the tree at left, the plants are also too saturated. hope to see the fully texturated version soon Nice to see your pogress. |

Thank you Jacob, Louis and Justin for your gentel words and your valuable comments and advices..
I'll try to make to correct my mistakes..just hope to have some extra free time. Thanks again Justin for your openion, I think if I can reach the level of evermotion renders, this will be very great..but exceeding them..it'll be hard somehow Last edited by shikodesign2000; July 4th, 2008 at 03:36 AM. |
