I just ordered my 8GB of memory. It came to $372 delivery included. Not bad considering Apple would of charged me $1500. Tomorrow I will order the beast.

Wow, I hadn't heard of that! Did you just call an Apple store?

I'm not sure if I called the Apple store or their support line. I was calling asking a few questions about the Mac Pro and didn't even ask about discounts she just offered. She said that when you are ready to order just give me a call and I could give you a discount. She emailed me her contact info so that I could contact her directly.

I just wanted to let you know that I ordered it and she gave me a 5% discount. She told me the discounts are programed in according to what configurations you have and vary between 3 and 8%. I went with the standard configuration and upgraded the video card to an Nvida 8800.

he posted 8 or 9 useless 1 or 2 answer replies in individual threads, that benefited nothing in the thread other than to build his post count up.

it's only a single day ban and he was pm'd

Like the post above, he said "no idea". Good move.

Thanks so much for the contact information. I spoke to Anna today and I'm going to place my order tomorrow. I've already ordered my RAM and hard drive upgrades from OWC. It won't come a moment too soon, because I'm going to be slammed with work for at least the next month.

Great let me know how it goes. I might need some assistance when I install windows on it. I'll keep you updated when it arrives.
