In the case of the VisMasters confernece, that certainly adds to the cost for sure. We want the VM conference to be about more than just sessions though and want to try to build networking opportunities as well.

ya all that stuff is great, so many people i need to get back to that i make connections with

but what would it be with out all the free jump drives and silly stuff to put on my desk, and that bag full of 40 kinds of 3d glasses! the longest line at the conference year in and year out is the one for the pixar walking teapot...

Sorry , what I ment was is it right that thoes with money behind them get to use the best software and keep up to date ?

Well there is a statement.

It's thinking like that, that has germany and many other countries including mine siting on a credit down turn.

Getting into debt is not the way to start or run a business.
i know you probably didn't mean it the way it sounded.
You have to spend money to make it , i know.
But if the company you work for won't spend it, what do you do.
