Default Wall by face edit profile issue

So does anyone know why I can't edit the profile of a wall created from the face of a mass?
I am thinking Revit internally computes this wall as being driven by the face of the mass and so there is no option to edit the profile as in a regularly drawn wall.
Is this true or am I missing something?

Default Re: Wall by face edit profile issue

That is right. You have to edit the mass then recreate the wall
