Default Using the knife tool

Is there a way to cut a plane or a polygon not in straight line or vertex to vertex, or edge to edge but in different directions with the same cut in c4d11? I can do that with max cut tool, but havent find a way to do the same with cinema knife tool, or there is a different tool for this?

Not sure I understand your question, but does the knife tool with the hole or path option meet your needs?

With V8 there was an awesome plugin called Mesh Surgery that allowed you to do just about any poly slicing you could imagine as well other cool features like hinge extrusions. They refuse to produce the plugin for newer version of C4D though.

I recall that nice plugin. What i was trying to do was to make an irregular cut in a plane but not in a diagonal or straight way, but more like a tooth shape.

The knife tool using the hole option seems to be the closest option in my V9.5.

I think Mesh Surgery with Katana (I think that's what it was called) is exactly what you want.
