Got a chance to drop by on one of our consultants office and able to play Stage 1. This is what i got for HDRI test. So far with this small test i was impressed.

Nonetheless, still would like to hear from other users how really good or bad this renderer is.

Nice render Arnel, just convert the materials and render it with the Vray demo renderer. You'll discover the true meaning of speed.

regards,
mark

mark,

as a vrayfree user myself, I'd agree that I love vray, but please don't flame just for the sake of flaming. It's bad enough when we get these debates when the topic is approaced but in this case, all he was commenting on was the quality. It doesn't help anyone that you flame HIS software. If you don't like it, fine, but don't insult someone else (or his or her company) when they obviously spent a good deal of money on something.

Tony i think you can just create easily those pots within max provided you have the kitchen probe.hdr as your HDRI map.

I'm interested what quality can we get with vray. I'm not an expert with vray nor with final render. These two renderers are great, just would like to see the quality with vray regardless of speed thats all.

I was just thinking of an exact side by side comparison. I do have that hdri.

I'm not an expert either but I am interested in buying the best renderer for the buck.
