Please Read This Before Posting Images

In order to keep the forums easy and fast to browse, please follow these guidelines when you post your images.

Forum guidelines

- This forum is for architectural images only.

- You can post images either as a link, a thumbnail (using our attach file mechanism) or in the body of your message (inline image).

- If you want to attach your images in-message, please make sure they're no bigger than 800x600 at 100 Kb. Anything bigger than that should appear as a link or thumbnail.

- Please limit the number inline images to a maximum of 2. If you want to show more images, please post links to them.

how te heck do i shrink images to below 100k.

the best i did with a 800x600 72 resolution is at 300k

Do you have Photoshop?

If so, open the image and save it as JPG, when it asks for the quality set it to 7, it will reduce the file size, and you wont even notice a diference.

infact almost ALL applications that let yuo save JPG images let you also choose the compression ratio

I am trying, maybe im doing something wrong.

i got the image 8 bit, quality to low, and still the only way i can get below 100k is if its a 100 px by 100 px

try saving it for web at photoshop,, a window will come out and stating the info of your image.. file size is indicated at lower left of the window, on the upper right, set your jpeg as low then save... i have a 1500x1100 image, file size is 73 kb only..

Just edit your post and choose the delete checkbox.

i've posted a 93kb image together with my message and it doesn't appear...any idea y?
