didn't attachments open a new window? And now?

And now they don't.

I checked the user CP to see if that was a setting I could change, but didn't find one. Did I miss it?

I recall that attachments used to open in a new window. I remember someone commenting how he liked having a picture still open when he wrote a response about it. But now I get attachments as a new page, not a seperate, new window. This requires the 'back' button to return to the thread.

This is in Firefox.

It is the new behavior since the new board was put up. Thumbnail links don't open a new page, but url links will. I liked it better the old way.

Yeah, I liked the images opening in a new window also.

Unfourtunately this is hardcoded into the program, so without hacking it and first finding the code to modify it's not something I can fix easily. There is however an easy solution. Before clicking the image, press and hold the SHIFT button. This will force the image to open in a new window. This works in IE and Firefox.
