Default Residential Street scene

As a land planner, I'm constantly having to educate politicians and neighbors on Code and the code's impact on development. I rendered this graphic to show new street standards and their relationship to homes and pedestrians.
Software: Lightwave 7.5c, FPrime 1.02. Lighting 1-area light, MonteCarlo GI with 3 bounces.

<HI! just curious, was this image meant to say busy(fast moving) street vs quiet neighborhood? If that was what you meant? If so I think it does envoke emotion/reaction. BTW(nice render, i think it will be effective for its purpose)

Exactly - meant to show the different purposes and uses for each kind of street.

i think you should go ahead and sho a person being run over on the road.

that street is going to be nearly impossible to turn off of without a light.

..but to the rendering, i would work on the grass, and the trees look cg. maybe adding a slight blur to the entire picture will help everything blend better.

...and remember. blood on a windshield could be your friend.

Very good. I'll need to post work on the grass as I don't think SAS will work with FPrime...and I'll work on those trees.
Thanks so much for the input.

Toyota and Lumina are from a site listed at CGArchitect a few days ago (DMI car models) (http://dmi.chez.tiscali.fr/models0.html).
The other models are from Dosch Design (http://www.doschdesign.de)

Just played with diffuse and added gradient controls to reflection and transparancy.
