why are most NPR images usually sketches or watercolour? most of these images seem like WIP

cant they be done in a way or classified as Finished Work but done in a high quality way that's not photorealistic but surreal... conceptual... creating gestures of what the space will look like oppose to this is it?

Go to the SketchUp Pro Groups and search "Dennis Technique" or "Grant Marshall". Both have shared their methods for creating NPR renderings in detail. As for me, I use SketchUp, Kerkythea, Photoshop and sometimes Corel Painter.
